Our Story
Eden began with a simple, unsettling realization: most people have never tasted real vanilla. Not because they have not tried-but because what the world calls "vanilla" is almost always synthetic. We decided to go back to the source. And the source was Indonesia.
Why Indonesia
Indonesia is the world's second-largest producer of vanilla-but its beans are not well known
outside of professional kitchens. The volcanic highlands produce a bean
with a flavour profile unlike any other: creamy, smoky, deeply complex. Less sweet than
Madagascar, more layered than Tahitian.
This is the bean we chose. And we chose it because it is the best expression of what vanilla can
be when it is grown slowly, by people who understand the land.
The Mission
Eden was founded to bridge the gap between Indonesia's finest vanilla farmers and the people who
deserve to experience what they grow. We work directly with growers. We visit the farms. We
understand the harvest-the hand-pollination, the 9-month curing process, the patience it takes
to do this right.
Transparent sourcing. Honest products. Nothing artificial, ever.
What We Stand For
We know where every bean comes from: the farm, the region, the harvest year. No mystery in our supply chain.
No artificial flavoring. No synthetic additives. No shortcuts. What you taste is what grew from Indonesian volcanic soil.
Our products are made to enhance, not to overpower. Indonesian vanilla is complex enough. It does not need help.
The People
Eden was founded by people who had watched professional kitchens struggle with vanilla inconsistency for too long. The answer wasn't better marketing, it was better sourcing. We built the system we wished existed.
The real heart of Eden. Families who have cultivated vanilla on volcanic highland farms for generations: hand-pollinating each flower, hand-harvesting each pod, slow-curing each bean the traditional way.
Every batch is prepared to the same exacting standard. Slow processes, no automation that sacrifices quality, and a constant commitment to preserving the character of the Indonesian bean.
